Mangaluru : Additional Bench of District Consumer Court inaugurated

Mangaluru, Nov 04, 2016: The Additional Bench of the DK District Consumer Disputes Redressal Forum  was inaugurated at the  Forum’s building at Mannagudda  here on November 4, Friday. C V Shobha, Chairman of the Forum  inaugurated the  Additional Bench.

The inaugural function was attended among others by S P Chengappa, President of DK District Bar Association, Forum Members Lavanya, Rajashekhar and others. Chengappa said the formation of the Additional Bench has fulfilled a longstanding demand. He also stressed the need to set  up a mobile bench of the  Consumer Court.

Speaking  to reporters on the occasion, Shobha said  the State Consumer Disputes Redressal Forum has directed the Additional Bench to resolve all the  318 pending cases between 2012 and 2014.

The Additional Bench has functioned from 11 am to 2 pm today and is functioning again from 3 pm till 5 pm and will settle all the pending cases under the leadership of  Vishweshwar Bhat, the Additional Chairman.
