Mangaluru : Activists protest against land acquisition for MRPL 4th phase expansion

Mangaluru, Nov 05, 2018: The Karavali Karnataka Janabhivridhi Vedike and Krishi Bhoomi Samrakshana Samithi staged a protest in front of the DC office here on November 5, Monday to condemn the moves of the MRPL to acquire 1,011 acres of land for its fourth phase expansion project.
T R Bhat, Spokesperson of the Vedike, activist Vidya Dinker, Krishi Bhoomi Samrakshana Samithi Vice President William, Secretary Lawrence and others took part in the protest.
Deputy Commissioner Sasikanth Senthil arrived at the protest venue and accepted memorandum from the agitators. He also assured to look into their demands.
