Mangaluru: 71st Republic Day celebrated; achievers feted

Mangaluru, Jan 26, 2020: The 71st Republic Day was celebrated with gaiety at the Nehru Maidan on January 26, Sunday. DK District in-charge Minister Kota Srinivas Poojary hoisted the national flag and received the guard of honour.

Deputy Commissioner Sindhu B Rupesh, IGP of Western Range Arun Chakravarthy, MLAs Vedavyas Kamath, Bharath Shetty, UT Khader, MLC Ivan D’Souza, Bhoje Gowda, Tulu Academy Chief Dayanand Kattalsar, ZP Chief Meenakshi Shantigodu, City Police Commissioner P S Harsha, SP Laxmi Prasad and ZP CEO Selvamani were present as chief guests.

Padma Shri Awardee Harekala Hajabba was felicitated on the occasion. Ten achievers in various fields were also presented Awards.
