Mangaluru: 14 pairs enter into marital bliss at Rosario Mass Marriage Ceremony

Mangaluru, May 3, 2015: The 41st mass marriage ceremony at the Rosario Cathedral in the city on May 3, Sunday saw as many as  14 couples tie the nuptial knot. The ceremony was organised by St Vincent D Paul Society.

Rev. Dr Aloysius Paul D’Souza, Bishop of Mangaluru Diocese along with Msgr Denis Moras Prabhu,  Rosario Cathedral Parish Priest Fr JB Crasta and other priests celebrated the nuptial mass.

In his homily Msgr Denis Moras Prabhu exhorted the newly married couples to  have strong faith in the institution of marriage and lead a happy and peaceful life by respecting each other’s views.

The Bishop and eight other priests administered vows to the couples. The Bishop, in his address  urged the  couples to  live a life of mutual trust and understanding and share the joys and happiness together.

The traditional lamp was lit on the occasion by newly wedded pair John and Diana Fernandes  on behalf of all the newly wed pairs.

Richard Rodrigues, Vice President of Catholic Association of South Canara was present as chief guest among others.

The ceremony was followed by a reception and lunch at the Rosario School grounds.
