Mangalore, September 9, 2011: The Mangalore Town Bank, which already has a branch each at Nagori and Car Street, will inaugurate yet another branch in Kavoor on September 11 Sunday at 11:00 a.m.

M. N. Pai, the director of Mangalore Town Bank, addressed a press meet at Press Club today and said that the bank provides customers with facilities such as NEFT/RTGS, DDs throughout India at reasonable rates of Rs. 1 for a DD of Rs. 1000, safe deposit locker facilities at affordable rates, deposits covered under deposits insurance scheme, and others. The bank has already raked in profits of Rs. 36.06 lakh, he added.

Further, he said that the bank is shifting its focus to the suburban population, owing to which it is launching a branch in Kavoor.

The bank also plans to improve the quality of its service by installing core banking facilities, mobile banking, ATMs, internet banking, and others in future.

Shri Mohandasa Swamiji of Manila will inaugurate the new branch, and Ratnakar Kamath Konchady, the trustee of Shri Venkataramana Temple Konchady, will preside over the event. The chief guests will be Palangappa, the deputy registrar of co-operative societies, and B. K. Saleem, the assistant registrar of co-operative societies.

President B. H. Nakul Pai, Vice President T. Govinda Pai, General Manager V. Vasanth Pai, and Director U. Gopinath Mallya were also present at the press conference.
