Mangalore: Serial thieves strike again; six shops burgled in Thokkottu

Mangalore, Sep 18, 2014: Thieves attempt to rob six shops in Kallapu near Thokkottu under Ullal police station limits on September 17 late night. But it is learnt that the thieves could only manage to steal very small amount of cash.

The serial theft came to light early on Thursday morning when owner of the complex noticed broken shutters of a shop and informed localites. Later, Ullal police visited the spot along with finger print experts and registered a case.

It is learnt that the shop keepers had taken away the valuables and cash, the burglars had to go empty handed. ‘Bed Zone’, owned by Anwar Abbas in Ruksana Complex, ’Spark Electricals’ belonging to Abdul Khader, ’United Timber Plywood’ belonging to Shujauddin, ’Part Center’ belonging to Iqbal were found ransacked by the thieves along with two other small shops.

Further investigation is on.
