Mangalore : SSLC toppers, schools with cent percent results honoured

Mangalore, June 13, 2013 : SSLC toppers and  heads of institutions which secured cent per cent results in SSLC exams of 2013 were felicitated at a function held at the Rosario Cultural Hall on June 12, Wednesday under the aegis  of the Mangalore City High School Headmasters and Pre-University College Principals’ Association. Fr Alwyn Serrao, Principal of Rosario College, inaugurated the function. An Educational conference was also held to coincide with the occasion.

 

 

In his address, Fr Serrao  while highlighting the role of teachers, said teachers should set examples to their students and should be a source of inspiration through their words and deeds.

Moses Jayashekhar, Deputy Director of Public Instructions, presided over the function. Fr Lawrence D’Souza, outgoing principal of Cascia High School was honoured on the occasion. SSLC toppers from various schools were also awarded. A felicitation was also held for heads of various schools who have retired from service during the year.

Aloysius D’Souza, President of Mangalore City High School Headmasters’ Association was among others present on the occasion.
