Mangalore, April 14, 2019: Popular Mangalorean food blogger Nikhil Mallesh Pai is no more. He reportedly committed suicide last night after consuming poison. He was found dead in his room at his residence at Malemar-Derebail locality of the city this morning. He was 28. He is survived by his wife, mother and a sister. He had married recently. His father had died a couple of years back.

The reason for his suicide is not known, though personal issues are suspected to have triggered him to take the extreme step. His body was taken to AJ Hospital in the city and later handed over to his family.

Nikhil Pai was one of the founders of Three-Hungry-Men, a popular food blog. He ran the blog with his friend Colin Vernon D’souza. He wrote review of different restaurants and conducted foodie events. Nikhil Pai was also an amateur cartoonist.

After the death of his father two years back, he had taken over the management of his father’s fuel pump Deepak Sales and Services at Baikampady.

Funeral would be performed at 9:00 p.m., according to sources. He resided at the end of the lane leading to Sri Sri Ravishankar Vidya Mandir on Mary Hill - Bondel Road.
