Mangalore: Kerala woman found dead in lodge; police suspect murder

Mangalore, Jan 17, 2014: A woman of Kerala origin has been found dead in the room of a lodging at KS Rao Road in the city on January 17, Friday morning. Police suspect this to be a case of murder.
Investigators also suspect that she might have been killed at least a couple of days ago as the body was party decomposed. Blood stains were found on the pillow and the bed in the hotel room.
The age of the deceased woman is said to be around 40-45. She is identified as Aanikutty, W/o Thomas hailing from Rayarom Aalakode, Thaliparamba, Kannur, Kerala.
Sources said she had taken the room a few days ago and that some person had come to meet her on January 14. As per the details furnished by the woman while taking the room, she hailed from Thalassery in Kerala.
Bunder police are investigating the case.
