Mangalore: Frankfinn Institute students complain of not getting in-flight training

Mangalore, Nov 27, 2012 : The students of Frankfinn Institute of Air Hostess Training approached the Mangalore Police Commissionerate on Nov 26, Monday, complaining that the institution has not given them the promised in-flight training.

 

 

 

The students, who had signed up for a diploma in aviation, travel, hospitality, and management, had to get their in-flight training by April 2012 as part of the course, but the senior officers had still not paid Jet Airways to provide the promised hands-on training.

Complaining that the in-flight training is very important to students, one of the students said that nobody is listening to their complaints owing to which 25 of them decided to complain to the Mangalore police commissioner.

Stating that the one-year diploma course includes in-flight training, another student said that she had paid the full fees of Rs. 1,40,000, but is yet to get her in-flight training. She said that the students are afraid of being left unemployed as they need to get jobs before 25 years of age.

She also said that the in-flight training and regional manager in Mangalore has not provided any favorable answers to them.

An ex employee of the institute also said that women employees were being needlessly harassed in the institute and that a complaint regarding this was also lodged in the Mangalore North Police Station.

The students submitted a memorandum to D. Dharmaiah, deputy commissioner of police, who accepted it on behalf of the commissioner.

Mr. Dharmaiah said that the students had complained of not getting their certificates even after completing their course, adding that the police will investigate this matter thoroughly.
