Mangalore : Failure in exam drives student to suicide

Mangalore, July 02, 2014: A young woman of Kerala origin who was doing her B.Sc(MLT) at a college in Mangalore, reportedly ended her life by hanging herself in her hostel room at Kankanady in the city on July 2, Wednesday afternoon.
The deceased is Manjusha Nair (21) from Kollam in Kerala. She was the daughter of one Madhusudan. Sources said she had failed in Microbiology subject in second year B.Sc and was therefore dejected. Her friends in the hostel said she was also suffering from chest pain and was undergoing treatment for the same.
Police said she has left a death note saying she has not been a good daughter to her parents and did not wish to disappoint them by her failure.
The body has been shifted to Wenlock for a post-mortem.Her family has been informed and her parents are on way to Mangalore, say sources.
Kadri police are investigating.
