Mangalore, Feb 11, 2013: Karnataka Karavali Nrithya Kala Prishat, Mangalore will celebrate ‘Bharatamuni Jayanthi’ at Jnana Mandir’ of Sharavu Sri Mahaganapathi Temple on Feb 17, Sunday on 10 am.
Speaking at the press meet held at Press Club on Feb 11, Monday, P Kamalaksha Achar, President of Parishat said that Sharavu Raghavendra Shastri, Managing Trustee of the temple will inaugurate the event. Prof K Ramamurthy Rao, Secretary, Bharatiya Nritya Kala, Parishat will pay homage to Bharatha Muni -- father of Bharathanatyam on the occasion.
K G Ramesh Rao, Deputy Chairman of Karnataka Bank will preside over the event. K Anil, Senior Regional Manager, Indian Overseas Bank will be the chief guest.
Senior Mrudangam artiste from Kasargod Vidhwan K Babu Rai will be felicitated on the occasion.
