Mangalore,Mar 9, 2014 :   On the occasion of International Women’s Day, a ‘Walk for the Girl Child’ was organised by the Women’s Cell of St Agnes College in the city on March 8, Sunday.

Hundreds of girl students  participated in the silent walk from St Agnes College to Ambedkar Circle.

Addressing a function held in this connection, Nivedita Mirajkar, Member of Mangalore Toastmasters’ Club exhorted the girls to seize all opportunities that come up in life to emerge successful. She also called upon them to help the under privileged women in the society.

Dr Marie Prem D’Souza, Principal of the College honoured four students who  have excelled in various fields.
