Mangalore: Adoor B Ibrahim takes charge as DC of DK

Mangalore, Dec 26, 2013: Adoor B Ibrahim took charge as new deputy commissioner of Dakshina Kannada district on Dec 26, Thursday.

Additional DC K Dayanand along with MCC commissioner Ajith Kumar Hegde, assistant commissioner Dr Prashanth, tahsildar Mohan Rao gave a floral welcome to the DC.

       

 

 

 

Speaking on the occasion, DC Ibrahim said that he had served as MCC commissioner for several years and has known the region very well.

He also said that further he will hold a discussion with the district in charge minister, other representatives and officials, regarding the long term problem faced by the people of district and will take appropriate measures to tackle it within the given time frame.

DC said that he will work hard towards the development of the district with the responsibility given with high expectation. 

Ibrahim was appointed to the post of DC, followed by the transfer of previous DC N Prakash to Bangalore.

Ibrahim hails from Adoor village of Kasargod district and has rendered service as tahsildar at Kodogu for two years from 1986 to 1988. After being selected in civil services exam conducted by the UPSC, he was posted as deputy collector in Goa from 1988-1990.

In 1990, Ibrahim joined KAS and was posted as a probationary officer at Karwar and later served at high post in Hassan, Udupi, Uttara Kannada, Mysore, Dharwad, Gulbarga, Bangalore and other districts.

He has even served as KEONICS Administrative Officer.
