Mangalore: 3 inter-state bike lifters caught near Bunts Hostel

Mangalore, Aug 6, 2014: An inter-state gang of three bike lifters were arrested by the Bunder police on August 4, Monday. Six bikes have been recovered from them.

Those arrested are Mohammad Faizal (22), Mohammad Naushad (28) and Mazeed(28) hailing from Seetangoli in Kasargod. They were intercepted by the police while they were lurking suspiciously near the Bunts Hostel in a stolen bike. During interrogation, they admitted their guilt.

They also reportedly divulged to the police that they were trying to steal some parked bike in the area. Interrogations of the four have also revealed that they had stolen bikes from Pandeshwar, Ullal, Bantwal and Honnavar. Of the accused, Mazeed is a scrap dealer. The others used to sell the stolen bikes to him.

A case has been registered in Bunder police station.
