Mangalore, June 16, 2013: A mega project of Mandd Sobhann-‘Konkani Museum’ was launched by Ronald Colaco, NRI Entrepreneur and philanthropist, at a function held at Ocean Pearl here on June 15, Saturday. The logo of the Museum  project was launched by Ronald Colaco, while James Mendonca, President of Mangalore Konkans, Dubai, released the brochure.

Ramanatha Rai, State Minister for Forest, Environment and Ecology and District Minister, Eric Ozario, Gurkar of Mandd Sobhann, MLA JR Lobo and several others were present on the occasion.

Colaco on this occasion, donated Rs  80 lakhs towards 25 cents of land for the museum. James Mendonca said  the Konkani Museum will be one the biggest gifts of Mandd Sobhann to Konkani speaking people.

Eric Ozario said Konkani Museum is a project worth Rs 30 crore. He said there are plans to inaugurate the museum by November 30, 2016. Ashok Mendonca, architect of the project, Stany Alvares  and others were present on the occasion.
