Belthangady, Oct 14, 2016 : In a rather amusing as well as queer case, a man who was trapped by the public and handed over to the police on the suspicion that he was planning to steal a bike parked in front of a shop at Uliya near Patrame, was found wearing as many as 25 shirts one over the another. That’s not all, he was also wearing eight trousers and three underwears.
A person from Patrame named Krishnappa Gowda had parked his bike on the roadside near a shop. Meanwhile, a stranger who arrived at the place was seen pushing the bike upto a little distance. Locals who spotted him, caught hold of him and handed him over to the police after duly thrashing him.
When the Dharmasthala Police enquired him, it came to light that he was Gangadhar from Tumakuru and had no previous history of involving in any crime. The police who also enquired regarding his whereabouts in Tumakuru have made arrangements to summon his family members so that he could be taken home. It is suspected that he was mentally unstable.
