Man killed as bike rams into tree in Udupi

Udupi: September 28, 2015: A person died after he lost control over his vehicle and hit a tree near Alur village in Gangolli police station limits in Udupi district.

The police said Kiran Shetty was riding a motorcycle from Idoor to Alur village, when he skid and hit a tree near Alur on Saturday evening. Kiran, who suffered severe injuries to his head, was rushed to the Adarsh Hospital in Udupi, where he succumbed to injuries on Sunday.

A case had been registered at the Gangolli police station and investigations were on, the police said.


In a seperate case, a pillion rider was killed when he was thrown out of a motorcycle at Panakadakatte village coming under Kundapur police station limits on September 26.

The police said Suresh Acharya was driving the motorcycle with his elder brother Ananthapadmanabha Acharya riding pillion from Panakadakatte to Basrur. He lost control over the motorcycle on the potholed-filled road. Ananthapadmanabha, who suffered severe injuries, was rushed to a private hospital in Kundapur, where doctors pronounced him dead.

A case had been registered at the Kundapur Traffic Police Station, the police said.

The accident is major only when the speed of the bike is uncontrollable . See in both the cases they breathed their last due to their own mistake and the loss which is non-recoverable.
