Man held for selling SIM cards without obtaining documents in Kasargod

Kasargod, Oct 20, 2016 : On credible information Bekal police raided a mobile store and SIM card sales executive was arrested by for making sales to people who submitted fake documents. The incident came to light when police were investigating a complaint filed by a girl from Ayampara regarding obscene images which she received on her mobile phone.

The arrested is identified as Chandran (42), proprietor of mobile shop. A resident of Panayal.

Chandran had obtained four to five connections using photo and identity cards submitted by others for getting the same.He was nabbed while selling SIM cards to the persons without obtaining any record and identities from customers,Without maintaining records by cheating the customers on exorbitant for pecuniary gain.He sold SIM cards and the cards were registered under names that were different from those of the users.

Bekal police along with Cyber police are investigating the case.
