Malpe : Giant wave claims youth’s life; another missing

Malpe, July 25, 2018 : One person lost his life while another was washed away when a huge tidal wave knocked them down while they were anchoring a boat at Padukere sea shore at Malpe on July 25, Wednesday morning.
The deceased has been identified as Nitesh (29) of Pitrody in Udyavar. He was married just seven months ago. Another youth who was washed away is Nishanth.
The mishap took place when the boat had arrived after a fishing expedition. It is learnt the huge tidal wave lashed when around 80 people were pulling the boat which was around 200 meters away from the shores.
Malpe police have arrived at the spot.
