Malpe, Dec 22, 2023: Eight fishermen who were on board a deep sea fishing boat that capsized off Malpe coast were rescued by fishermen from another boat.

A boat named Sri Narayana had vented into deep sea fishing from Malpe port on the night of December 12. However it capsized during the wee hours of December 19 when water began gushing into the boat after its base got ruptured  due to some object. The crew immediately sent an emergency help message. Later efforts by fishermen from two other boats helped in rescuing the eight stranded fishermen.
