MRPL road will be taken back for public use: Nalin Kumar Kateel

Mangalore Today News Network

Mangalore, June 30: MP Nalin Kumar Kateel said that the MRPL Road, which was constructed under the Grameen Sadak Yojana, will be taken back for public use because the MRLP has not acquired the land covering the road. He was speaking about various rural development and Panchayath Raj schemes at a progress report meeting convened at the Zilla Panchayath.

Explaining the MRPL Road issue further, he said that the government had written to the MRPL six months ago, but the company had not responded. Declaring that the company cannot acquire government property in the name of development, he said it should state clearly whether it is willing to leave the road for public use or construct an alternative road for the public.
