Mangaluru, Dec 12, 2018: In the midst of strong public demands of the closure of the toll gates at Brahmarakootlu on national highway 75 and Suratkal on national highway 66, BJP MP Nalin Kumar Kateel, said that the closure process can be initiated after the state government submits a proposal to the central office of NHAI.
Chairing a meeting held at the DK DC’s office MP Kateel said that in response to his letter written to NHAI authorities seeking dismantling of tollgates at Suratkal and Brahmarakootlu, he was informed that the issue of road maintenance would crop up once the toll collection is stopped and hence the state government would need to submit a proposal addressing these concerns.
