MP Shobha suspects conspiracy behind Gangolli violence

Kundapur, Jan 23, 2015 : Udupi Chikkamagaluru   has  urged the government to give a free hand to the Police Department to undertake a thorough probe into the recent violence in  Gangolli, She has suspected a conspiracy behind the  disturbances in Gangolli and also ‘possible links with terror activities.”

 

She was speaking to reporters at Hemmady, the MP said  talks have been held with officials regarding the torching of a shop and vehicles in Gangolli. Even former CM BS Yeddyurappa is in touch with officials, she said and added that an appeal has been made for an impartial probe.

Shobha also  suspected that the Gangolli unrest was a  systematic conspiracy to divert public attention from the arrests of  terror suspects in Bhatkal .

The MP alleged that communal incidents were on the rise in the state under Congress rule and  further hurled another senior allegation that an accused in the Gangolli case was also trying to avoid punishment.She also urged the government to launch a crack down on disruptive forces.
