MP Nalin to be blamed for delay in flyover works, says ex-MLA Lobo

Mangaluru, July 30, 2018: JR Lobo, former MLA of Mangaluru South  has alleged that MP Nalin Kumar was blaming the MCC for no reason over the delay in the Pumpwell flyover works.

He said the Mangaluru South and North Committees of the Congress would protest at Pumpwell Junction on August 1 demanding completion of the works at the earliest.

Speaking to reporters here on July 30, Monday, Lobo accused Nalin of playing politics over the issue in view of the upcoming Parliamentary polls.

Lobo also clarified that during his tenure as MLA he had never intervened in the project and dared Nalin to prove his allegations.

He said as the NHAI projects are dealt by the Union Government, Nalin can in no way  shrug off his responsibilities through such misleading statements.

 On a recent report which mentions that Nalin had met the Union Minister for Road Transport Nitin Gadkari seeking more funds for the Pumpwell flyover, Lobo wanted to know why the MP who remained apathetic all these years  has now resorted to such a move.
