MLA Vedavyasa Kamath assures no ’Nipah’ cases in city

Mangaluru, May 24, 2018: D. Vedavyasa Kamath, MLA, Mangaluru City South, said on May 24, Wednesday that no Nipah virus infection cases have been reported in the city and elsewhere in Dakshina Kannada, people need not panic, the situation is closely monotired.


Vedavyasa Kama...In a release here, he said that he has discussed with DK DC Sasikanth Senthil S. and District Surgeon Rajeshwari Devi on the issues involved.

A vigil has been kept on the health condition of patients admitted to the Government Wenlock Hospital from outside Dakshina Kannada. A special unit has been opened in the hospital to monitor Nipah cases, if any.

People need not be in fear  reading messages being spread on the social media. The Union Health Ministry through State Health Department is ready to manage any situation.
