MLA Lobo inspects collapsed mini bridge near Kulshekhar; assures early repair

Mangaluru, July 25, 2015: Mangaluru South MLA JR Lobo on July 25, Saturday inspected the mini bridge at Umikana-Saripalla near Kulshekhar in MCC limits, which collapsed during the recent heavy rains. He assured measures to reconstruct the bridge within one month period.

The MLA informed that alternate road arrangement has been made on a private land on a temporary basis and that it can be used only by small vehicles. He also stated that the repair works of the bridge has already commenced.

An MCC officer who was present on the occasion informed that the bridge works may cost Rs 4 lakhs.

The MLA who responded to an appeal made by locals assured to release grants for the asphaltation of the road from Saripalla to Umikana grounds.
