MLA Lobo directs NHAI officials to take up accident prevention measures at Padil Junction

Mangaluru, Sep 25, 2015: Mangaluru South MLA JR Lobo who inspected the accident prone Padil Junction in the city on September 24, has instructed the NHAI officials to initiate necessary remedial measures suggested  by him within a week. The MLA visited the spot along with NHAI and MCC officials following complaints from public in the wake of the several accidents in the area.

 

The MLA who inspected the junction,  opined that the junction was constructed in an unscientific manner resulting in accidents. He said he has asked the officials to shift the bus stand  in the area and also erect speed breakers within   week.

The MLA even inspected the Padil overbridge works and also the works pertaining to a bridge across a storm water drain at Pumpwell. He instructed officials to complete the works by November end.
