MLA Bava accuses Palemar of misleading voters; challenges him for open debate

Mangaluru, May 27, 2015: With elections to the Gram Panchayats just a couple of days away, the situation is hotting up just like mercury levels are soaring. In a latest development, Mangaluru North  BA Moidin Bava has lashed out at former MLA of the constituency and former minister Krishna Palemar and has alleged that the latter was  misleading the public  through false statements.

 

 

Speaking to reporters here on May 26, Tuesday, Bava also challenged Palemar for an open debate on the progress works taken up in the constituency by him  since the past two years. He alleged that  Palemar has made a false claim in Baliya of Kuppepadavu that the progress  works inaugurated there were actually sanctioned during the tenure of the previous MLA.

On the various developmental initiatives made during his tenure, Bava informed that  under Namma Grama Namma Raste a sum of Rs 21 crore has been sanctioned and that the tender process has begun for the same. He said a sum of Rs 2.57 core has been sanctioned for the welfare of the Billawa community while Rs 2 crore has been spent towards medical aid for 230 families under  CM’s special grant.

Bava also claimed that several crores of rupees have been spent on developmental works in his constituency during the past two years.
