MCRT 190 to present innovative science lab to Mannagudda Govt School

Mangalore, Dec 24, 2013: Mangalore Coastal Round Table 190 will present an innovative science lab to the government higher primary school, Mannagudda on the event on their centennial celebration said Neil Rodrigues, chairman of Mangalore Coastal Round Table. 

Speaking at the press meet held at Press Club on Dec 24, Tuesday, he said that the contributor of Science to the country has become an indicator of the progress that country makes in the world today. 

He also said that being a firm nationwide contributor in the field of education, Round Table firmly believes that development in this area of science can bring great benefits.

The science lab will be designed with the concept of Think-learn- practice with three key points like practical application, instant visualization and scientific curiosity.

He also said that all lab equipment and explanation have been designed considering language ability and age of the students. The total cost of the project is around Rs 3.8 lakhs. Round Table India Foundation, a national level trust has assisted Mangalore Coastal Round Table 190 by providing a grant of Rs 1.5 lakhs. 

Neil said that Round Table has also proposed to take up some more projects like Audio-visual media demonstration room, computer lab and introduction of English medium in the same school as and when funds became available.
