Mangaluru, June 04, 2020: Mangaluru City Corporation has decided to embark on the Operation Tiger to evict unauthorised street vendors who have encroached footpaths to sell fruits, flowers, vegetables and other goods, thereby impeding free movement of pedestrians. Mayor Diwaker Pandeshwar has said that the MCC took the decision following complaints about inconveniences due to street vendors.
The Mayor also said vendors will be evicted from footpaths and the vendors themselves are responsible for any loss during the operation.
The Mayor also said the Corporation would seize the goods of any vendor who sells products on footpaths and road sides.
