The unauthorised petty shops located on either side of the Kulur Road  had encroached even the basement of the fly over least bothered about the inconvenience caused to pedestrians, people waiting for buses and other motorists. Repeated instructions to them to vacate the place too had fallen on deaf ears.

The same was the problem even beneath the Kuntikan fly over  and on Wednesday all the shops which even posed cleanliness problem have been evicted amid opposition from the petty shop keepers who argue that the corporation was hitting at their bellies.
