Addressing the media personals, P P Hegde alleged that Krishna Rao, the secretary of Lokayukta Justice Bhasker Rao had called a government employee to the official residence of Locayukta and demaded 1 crore rupees on the day of government holiday April 21. Krishna Rao again met him at a 5- star hotel on April 25 and put-forth the demand of Rs. 1 crore.

He said "He must immediately give resignation, and if he continues to be the part of Lokayukta, it will have a negative impact on the people and every one will lose trust on Lokayukta. And lawyers do not want to have conflict with lokayutha so it better that they take action. If he doesn’t resign, the lawyer will stage strong protest.

A month back, Lokayukta Superintended of Police of Bengaluru city Sonia Naran Kumar had sent a written letter to the Lokayukta registrar about the corruption charges against Krishnaa Rao.

The victim (Zilla panchayat executive engineer) came out to the media saying that Krishna Rao had demanded 1 crore from him at Lokayukta’s official residence and at 5 - Start hotel at Race course road on April 25.

Lokayukta is reeling under several setbacks on corruption. We demand incident of corruption must be handed over to CBI and must arrest the accused, he said.

In addition to that he said, we will bring this matter into the notice of governor. If the demands are not met, the advocates will join hands with the general public and will stage strong protest throughout the state.
