Local youth in critical condition after accident, family seeks urgent help

Mangaluru, Jan 23, 2016:  Joseph Crasta, Managing Trustee of  ’Snehalaya’,  in a communication states,  a youth named Jackson Ronald Rego, aged 22, who used to give voluntary free service at Snehalaya regularly;  met with a  serious  road accident and is critical in the ICU at a hospital in Bangalore. It is stated,  "Jackson is a young energetic kind person voluntarily doing free charity services with Snehalaya for more than one year.

 

He was a volunteer on  24 hours stand-by for dedicated service for our residents. On Thursday 17th March, 2016,  he was on the way back to Mangalore after pilgrimage to Velankanni in a jeep. Nearing Bangalore at about 4. am, the jeep was hit by a Truck.  Jackson was in the front seat and suffered critical  injuries and became unconscious.

Now, Jackson is in Abhaya Hospital at Bangalore after an emergency surgery to his head and is in need  of a second operation soon."  It is stated he is practically in a coma with his body showing weak response. The entire Snehalaya Management is totally upset and gravely worried about his condition. For immediate treatment costs it is estimated that at least 8 lakhs (eight lakhs) are needed.

His family is without income and their financial plight is pathetic. Snehalaya is unable to extend monetary help as they are a charitable cause with no financial resources. All concerned make an earnest appeal to generous understanding people to extend possible assistance. They humbly pray for help in this circumstance to treat  young Jackson Rego.
