Liquor smuggling racket busted near Talapady; 3 arrested

Mangaluru, Dec 13, 2023: Excise officials have busted an inter-state liquor smuggling racket near Talapady and have arrested three persons. The raid was conducted late night on Tuesday.

Those arrested are Satish Talapady, Naushad and Ansif. Another accused managed to escape.

The police seized huge quantity of liquor from the house of Satish. It is leant the spirit was ready for transportation in a car when the raid took place.

Among other things, during the raid the excise officials seized 2,240 liters of spirit, 222 litres of fake brandy and a machine used for packing.
