Leopard falls into well in its bid to pounce on dogs

Bantwal,Sep 30 2019 : A  hungry leopard which  had come to prey on two pet dogs, has instead landed inside a well at Rayi in Bantwal taluk on September 30, Monday.

 

The  leopard  was seen on the prowl in the  area  trying to pounce on the two dogs of Ballalbettu resident Monappa Bangera. The failed attempt left the  animal inside the well.

Presently  forest officials have arrived and are trying to rescue the leopard. Several people have gathered at the place out of curiosity.

Locals say the leopard has preyed upon several cattle and dogs in the area in the past.
