Lady Goschen Hospital’s new block to be complete by Dec, 2014 : Moily

Mangalore, June 24, 2013 : Union Minister for Petroleum and Natural Gas M Veerappa Moily has said that the works on the  new block of the Lady Goschen Hospital in Mangalore would be complete by December 2014.

Moily was interacting with the media after visiting the Hospital and inspecting the ongoing works on June 24, Monday. Moily also spoke with the hospital authorities as well as officials of ONGC-MRPL and district administration. The works are underway with aid from ONGC-MRPL.

 

 

 

Moily further said  the  new block will be handed over to the hospital, once two floors are complete, in order to mitigate the problems faced by patients visiting the hospital due to lack of space.

On the issue of compensation to Perne gas tanker tragedy victims, Moily said he had held talks with HPCL authorities in Bangalore recently and assured that the compensation would be sanctioned within six weeks.

Raghavendra from MB Krishna Rao Shelters Pvt Ltd, contractors of the Lady Goschen hospital project said by March next two to three floors will be complete. The project comprises of a total of six floors.

 Deputy Commissioner N Prakash, PP Upadhya, Managing Director of MRPL, Dr Shakuntala, Superintendent of Lady Goschen Hospital, Corporators Shashidhar Hegde, Bhasker Moily, former MUDA chairman Tejomaya and others were present.
