Lack of facilities at Wenlock: Citizen files complaint against DK in-charge Minister

Mangaluru, Mar 19, 2024: A resident of the city has lodged a police complaint seeking suitable action against DK District in-charge Minister and State Minister for Health and Family Welfare Dinesh Gundurao blaming him for the lack of amenities at Wenlock Hospital leading to problems to the patients.

 

The complainant H Shashidhar Shetty, a resident of Ashoknagar highlighted the lack of amenities at the hospital and alleged that the minister has failed to ensure the right to health of the people. He has also demanded essential amenities at the hospital immediately.

The complainant said an elderly person who was injured due to a fall from scooter and was unconscious could not get timely emergency treatment at Wenlock. The Emergency Treatment unit has only five beds and many patients were waiting for treatment he said. One has to spend over half an hour to get the patient card. The hospital lacks experienced doctors, the complainant said.
