Mangaluru, June 2, 2016: An LPG tanker which was on way to Kerala from Panambur, met with a mishap at the busy Pumpwell Junction in the city on June 2, Thursday after its driver lost control over the vehicle. Luckily there was no gas leakage. However, a person who was sticking posters on the barricade sustained injuries and has been hospitalised.
The LPG tanker had rammed against the barricades on the road before coming to a halt on the roadside.
The front portion of the tanker was mangled in the mishap. The fire service personnel and traffic police who have rushed to the spot are trying to get the tanker out of the road in order to ensure smooth movement of traffic.

Heavy vehicles especially the tankers move at a controllable speed and become cause to such accidents. Luckily nobody was injured. |
