Kundapur : Tanker driver critically injured in accident near Maravanthe beach

Kundapur, Nov 22, 2015 : A head-on collision between a diesel tanker and a lorry near the Maravanthe beach left the tanker driver critically injured on November 21, Saturday night.
The injured driver Diwaker (30) hailing from Kadaba has been admitted to the Manipal Hospital.
The mishap occurred when Diwaker whose tanker was on way to Gangavathi from Mangaluru was hit by a fish laden insulator lorry coming from the opposite direction, just as Diwaker took a right turn to avoid collision with a parked lorry. It has been gathered that the lorry was parked on the road due to some technical snag.
Local residents and the police had to struggle for over one and a half hours to get Diwaker out of the tanker.
A case has been registered by Gangolli police.
