Kundapur, July 17, 2015: Udupi District Superintendent of Police K Annamalai on July 16, Thursday visited the residence of Malathi Shetty (65) from Korgi Charukottige near Tekkatte who has been reported missing since June 24. Police so far have no clues regarding the whereabouts of the woman.
The SP met Bhasker Shetty, the husband of the missing woman, her son Satish Shetty and daughter Sarala Shetty. The SP also enquired the family members regarding the case and questioned if there was any quarrel or any such issue.
The SP assured the family to pursue the case thoroughly and requested the family members to divulge any information which they have and which may be helpful for the probe.
The SP later spoke to the media persons and said that the police were investigating the case from different angles. He also referred to the fact that the lady was wearing gold jewels when she had left home.
DySP Manjunath Shetty and Circle Inspector Diwaker PM also accompanied the SP during his visit.

This is really strange a elderly woman goes missing and no clues from past 3 weeks.The Police has to take a active part in this case and give a relief to the family ,by helping them in finding Mrs.Shetty. |
