Kundapur, Dec 09, 2023: Popular theatre artiste Ashok Shanbhag has passed away at a private hospital at Kundapur on Friday night following a brief illness. He was 54 years of age.
He was part of the Roopakala drame troupe of Kundapur and was known for his role in Mooru Muthu. Apart from this play he had made a mark through his comedy roles in Papa Pandu, Avanalla Ivanu, Aluvudo Naguvudo, Ramakrishna Govinda and Suicide Sundera.
His Kinki Ramanatha role in Mooru Muttu was hugely popular.
