Kundapur: Man hacked to death in broad daylight near Tallur

Kundapur, Dec 17, 2019: In a shocking incident , a man hacked to death by assailants in broad daylight on December 17, Tuesday near Tallur in Kundapur.

The deceased is Babu Shetty (55), son of Narasimha Shetty Jormakki, here

Reports said that Babu Shetty had left home on his Hero Honda bike in the noon, saying that was going to Kundapur. A passer-by on seeing the blood soaked body reported the matter to Hattiangadi gram panchayat who later informed the police.

Udupi SP Nisha James along with the team visited the spot immediately on information.It is suspected that attackers chased Babu Shetty to a distance before murdering him. He was attacked on the mud road that connects to Hattiangadi from Kollur-Hemmady. He was brutally attacked on neck, head, chest and abdomen.

Babu Shetty is survived by wife, a son and a daughter. A case has been registered in Kandlur police station.
