Kundapur Premea sucideKundapur, May 4, 2014:  In a tragic incident reported from  the town of Kundapur, the wife of a timber merchant  reportedly ended her life by jumping into a pond on May 3, Saturday. Sources say dejection in life owing to ill-health drove her to the extreme step.

The deceased is Prema (43), wife of Nagaraj K who owns Gayatri Timber Depot in the town. According to information available, Prema was suffering from kidney trouble since some months and that she kept her illness a closely guarded secret.  It is learnt, Prema was suffering from acute pain of late and on May 2 night after serving dinner to her husband she  was missing from the house.

The body was found in the pond which was nearly a km away from the house. It is also learnt that Prema has left a death note stating that none is responsible for her death. She also mentioned that her illness and the immense pain she was suffering made her end her life. The death note also has requested her husband to take care of their children and also to donate Rs 5000 to the Tallur Mahalingeshwara Temple.

Prema has two children, both doing their medical studies in a college in Bangalore.
Kundapur police have registered a case.
