Kundapur : Cops thwart cattle trafficking attempt

Kundapur, July 12, 2018: As many as ten cows which were being illegally transported in a vehicle  at Bidkalkatte in Hombady Mandady village have been seized in an operation conducted by the Kota police.

 

The vehicle, a white pick-up truck  in which the cattle were being trafficked was intercepted by the police on suspicion during a routine checking of vehicles. However the driver of the vehicle fearing the police had escaped  by abandoning the vehicle right on mid-road.

The cattle including two buffaloes, four calves and three cows were found  crammed in an inhuman way in the vehicle.

Investigations revealed that the vehicle belonged to  Mohammad Zabrod of Honnavar.
