Kundapur: Car overturns killing man returning home after brother’s funeral

Kundapur, Nov 20, 2015: A family at Hemmady here is devastated after losing two of its members in quick succession. Raghupathi Poojary (42) from Hemmady who was returning to Bengaluru along with his wife and two children after conducting the last rites of his elder brother Sheena Poojary (45), died in an accident enroute at Magadi near Bengaluru during the early hours of November 19, Thursday.

It is learnt the Santro car in which the family was travelling and was driven by one Guruswamy went out of control of the driver and overturned. Raghupathi who sustained serious head injuries breathed his last, while his wife and children escaped with minor injuries,. The mishap occurred at around 3.30 am.

Raghupathi’s elder brother Sheena who was suffering from some ailment had breathed his last recently.

Raghupathi was running a shop at Bannerghatta in Bengaluru.

The person might have been negligent to wear the seat belt, other members escape with minor injuries. We usually take risk and prone to such incidents. RIP .
