Kundapur, July 11, 2019:  In a rather mysterious case, a two year old girl child who was sleeping beside her mother  inside their house at Edamoge village in the taluk has been reportedly kidnapped during the wee hours of July 11, Thursday.

The incident took place at around 4 am.  It is alleged that the child was abducted by two men. Though the mother of the child woke up   just as the child which was sleeping on the mat beside her was picked up by the abductors, the masked men fled away  and reportedly escaped towards Hosangady after swimming across the nearby river.

Shankernarayana Police are investigating the case.
