Kumble cops nab 4 accused in Aziz murder case

 Kasargod, Feb 5, 2014 : The Kumble police who are investigating the case of murder of  Paivalike resident Balige Aziz (38), have arrested  four  persons on February 4  Tuesday at Anekal while they were travelling in a car.Aziz was killed by a group of assailants on the Paivalike-Chevar Road  on the night of  January 25.

 

Those arrested are Ammi (30) alias Hameed of Paivalike Ambikana, Shafi (23) from Kalai, Mohammed Rafeeq (23)  of Salethur, Taleki and Shafi alias Chotu Shafi (23) of Paivalike. Iron rods and three machetes used by them to execute the crime, were also seized from a place in Paivalike. Even the clothes worn by them while committing the heinous crime, have been seized. Police have registered cases against 18 persons in connection with the murder.

The deceased Aziz was also a murder accuse and was reportedly involved in the case of murder of Youth Congress leader  Abdul Jabbar murder case in 2009. He was charged with financing the killers but was later released after he became a witness in the case.
