Kudroli shrine management aims to distribute 300 quintals of rice to needy

Mangaluru, May 01, 2020: The Kudroli Shree Gokarnanatha Kshetra aims to distribute 300 quintals of rice to the needy during the lockdown period. The rice distribution programme on behalf of the Kshetra has been initiated as per the suggestion of B Janardhana Poojary who is instrumental behind the renovation and development of the shrine. Padmaraj R, Treasurer of the shrine has said that so far 268 quintals of rice has been distributed to the needy irrespective of caste and creed.
Even several organisations including Tailors Association and Photographers Association too had placed demand for rice and it has been distributed to them, he said.
The Temple with the association of Kalpa Trust has been providing Anna Dana daily to around 1000 people since March 26. Labourers, destitutes and those who are struggling due to joblessness during lockdown have been availing the facility.
