Mangaluru, June 24, 2017: Singers of Kudla have been receiving rave responses to their ’Despacito - Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee Ft. Justin Beiber (Vocal Rush Cover)’ on YouTube. Melodious voices of a girl group from Mangaluru have gone viral. Their ’Vocal Rush’ band launched the cover of ’Despacito’, a global Spanglish hit by Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee that features Justin Bieber.

Nearly 4.2 lakh people have viewed the song ever since it was uploaded recently, the song produced and mastered by Noel Prashanth was recorded at Sandesha Digital Studio in Mangaluru.


Vocal Rush band members Apeksha Palanna, Audette Moreira and Nichelle Monteiro are undergraduate students of St Aloysius College. While Natasha Coelho is pursuing CA, Merula Pinto is a psychology student in Roshni Nilaya and Riya Benny is studying law at St Joseph’s College, Bengaluru.


Noel Prashanth, who runs two music schools in the city, said, "It’s really amazing they got more than 3 lakh views. They worked hard work for the cover." He said pronouncing Spanish lines of the song was tough, but Riya did it well.


Nichelle said all the girls worked hard for the song. "Noel Prashanth was very supportive and helped us improve our harmonies. Despite his busy schedule, he had made time for us and worked really hard with us. He is an amazing producer and a better friend. We had loads of fun making this cover," she said, adding that they had done two covers last year.
